It was major news earlier this year when 2 of the funders from our funding suite agreed on one buying the other. ALD Automotive Group acquired the full group of Leaseplan companies in a huge £4.1 billion deal. At the time, Leaseplan was ranked the 4th largest funder in the UK market, ALD was ranked 5th, this combined fleet size would mean they would have over 300,000 vehicles on UK roads, taking them above Lex Autolease in terms of live vehicle contracts.
In October 2024 we have now seen the company rebrand as Ayvens, the new name will be rolled out across 44 countries where ALD Automotive Leaseplan are based.
The company will still continue it’s current product offering through Every Vehicle Lease of business contract hire, personal contract hire, business contract purchase and personal contract purchase.
Both were always exceptional in stock offers and we expect this to now increase further as they continue to diversify in petrol, diesel, plug in hybrid and full electric vehicles across the UK and Europe. Their ultimate goal is to lead the way to net zero as they continue to expand their electric vehicle fleet offering. At time of writing their entire global fleet size is 3.4 million vehicles, with 428,000 electric vehicles in this number.
