TinyLife is a Northern Ireland–wide charity, based in and active around Belfast, that supports families of premature and seriously ill babies from the neonatal unit through the early years at home and in the community. Its work combines direct practical help for families, emotional support, and funding and influencing work aimed at improving outcomes for babies born too soon or very sick.
The charity offers practical help like a breast‑pump loan service so parents can provide breast milk when babies are in neonatal care, as well as home‑based volunteers who give hands‑on support and respite when babies are discharged. Specialist sensory and developmental services are used to help reduce common sensory and motor difficulties in premature babies and improve long‑term outcomes. These breast pump machines cost £1500 and are crucial for babies when they get home, in some cases where there are twins born, one twin could get home, the other could still be in hospital and the breast pumps are critical in providing milk for the baby that remains in the neonatal unit.
They are a not-for-profit organisation and rely on donations as well as public funding. We are delighted to donate to TinyLife in December 2025 for a time of year when a lot of babies are born.
