Tesla Model 3 Performance 2024 Highland is here. Here are 4 things that make it great.
After months of rumours and leaked spy shots of the seats, Tesla has finally launched the new Tesla Model 3 Performance.
Unlike the original Model 3 Performance, which was a very slightly upgraded (but quicker) variant of the old Long Range Model 3, the new Performance model is a major upgrade. Here are the most important details about the new Tesla Model 3 Performance.
1) It’s fast
With a 2.9 second 0-60 mph time, this is the quickest Tesla Model 3 ever. It also has a 510 hp peak power, and a 163 mph top speed, making it second only to Model S Plaid.
When comparing the old and new Model 3 Performance. The original Tesla Model 3 Performance had a 3.1 seconds 0-60 mph time and a 162 mph top speed, making the new model only slightly quicker and faster. The new car is 0-60 mph in 2.9 seconds with a top speed of 163mph and 510hp – that’s the club that petrol V8’s want to be in.
2) It’s got a different style
The original Model 3 Performance looked exactly the same as the other Model 3 versions, save for a small rear spoiler on the back, red calipers and different wheels. You will notice the new version now as it should get stares from strangers with it’s new 20-inch Warp Wheels with large and also the major addition of a sportier-looking front lip and rear diffuser. The red brake calipers and a carbon fibre spoiler are present again. It looks different to the RWD and Long versions and stands out on it’s on, which is great news for those wanting a unique performance electric vehicle.
3) Track Mode
Want the choice of testing your brand new Model 3 Performance on the race track? Exclusive to this Model 3 you get a new Track mode V3, allowing you to change the car’s set up eg handling balance, regenerative braking, stability assist, suspension settings and more. You also get a number of presets so you can quickly change from one driving mode to the other.

4) New Sports Seats and carbon fibre interior
A first in the Model 3, the Performance has it’s own unique sports seats giving the same functionality & comfort as before, but with much better lateral support for cornering & dynamic driving. They are heated and also ventilated! The interior also gets some lovely carbon fibre finishing touches unique to this version.
RANGE
According to Tesla, it has 296 miles of estimated range. For comparison, the Long Range model has 341 miles of range, while the significantly cheaper Rear-Wheel Drive model has 272 miles of range. The usual superb Tesla in-house software is standard, which means it keeps improving via future over-the-air software updates.
